13 UGLY EXPERIENCES TO EXPECT IN THE NEXT LOCK DOWN

The last global lockdown led to several unpleasant experiences for many. A look at these incidents helps one to be better equipped for another likely global lockdown.

TO INDIVIDUALS 

1. Panic buying - of course this happened and may happen again.

2. Domestic violence - Due to the increase in time spent together by families during the last lockdown. Picking of faults was also on the increase. This led to couples being violent against each other and towards their kids.

3. Increased sexual demand and pressure - work keeps the mind busy and usually reduces the desire for sexual fun. Most couples experienced increased sexual desire and increased sexual pressure from their partner. 

4. Increased Rape cases were also recorded due to item 3 above.

5. Loneliness and moodiness - Due to decrease in social activities, a lot of people, felt lonely and moody. Some were sarcastically saying they must get married after the lock down.

6. Decrease in adequate dieting - the inability to easily buy nutritive foods as before , led to the malnourishment of many. Both singles and families suffered it.

7. Decrease in income for non salaried workers/daily earners - since almost everybody was not allowed to go out and work, non salaried workers, saw a drop in their income, especially the daily earners. 

8. Anxiety - the fear of contracting the virus both before and during the lockdown was so strong. Some had to reduce the tension by not reading or listening to any news that bothers on the pandemic. 

9. Increase in robbery - Most communities saw day light robbery. In some cases, the robbers who were in a group of 20 or more would collect raw food stuffs from victims.

10. Unwanted pregnancies - Due to unusual increase in sexual demands and activities among couples, unwanted pregnancies were also recorded.

TO GOVERNMENTS

11. Aggression towards the government - hardly do people feel satisfied with any government. The dissatisfactions during the lockdown added fuel to other grievances that led to violence protests after the lock down.

12. Decrease in foreign income - every government that exports any product of any sort, saw a sharp drop in her income both foreign and domestically.

TO CORPORATE BODIES

13.  Loss of income and jobs  - companies saw a  decline in their income and were forced to dismiss and retrench some of their staff.
